After a rather extreme experience in India we found Moscow to be an utter relief. We saw the Kremlin, Red Square, etc... and had ourselves some fantastic coffee. The food was incredible, the subway just might be second to none (and cheap!), and the shoe shopping is all you could want, although I will admit that the prices are absurd.
