Updates on what I'm doing these days:November 29,2009: Website is up... this is now Aubreyshick.com/art. I've been working on a lot of goldfish art:
___________________________________________________________________________________________________ October 28, 2009: So I'm frantically updating my website. I've just been informed that I'm taking a whole year off. So I need to get a job and support myself. I'd like to do innovations product development, user research, ethnographic research, concept sketches, run focus groups... etc etc. I just need to find the job. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ October 22, 2009: So the robots are up in the build lab... wish I'd taken a picture... I will later. For now I made a stencil of a grafitti piece Stacey K found online (pictured). I just want to stress... I -copied- this... it is not my idea, however I did freehand the stencil. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ October 20, 2009: Working on a mural for the build lab. Well... mural boards. Grafitti style. I have a long way to go. You can see my sketch on the side. I also just signed up for an Arduino classes at Art and Code. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ October 13, 2009: I finished my Cory Doctorow Caricature!

Emily Schwartzman has been working on our website for the wedding. Soon we will have a link. It will be www.AubreyandSteve.com we're getting married Sunday May 23, 2010.

October 10, 2009: Taking a semester off school. Working on my sculpture and painting. Trying to get publicity and get into shows including Handmade Arcade and others. I have an Etsy shop. I'm also trying to be a little political with my subjects. I'm currently working on a Mini Cory Doctorow. When I started making caricatures I thought to myself... who is really influential and important. So I made Obama (see Etsy shop). Then I thought, who else is really influential and important... Cory Doctorow.

May 26, 2008: I've run the first Create study and am now working on analysis. Austin has prepped the robot and has 18 LEDs for a super bright study 2. HRI and Dppi papers are in the works.
March 12, 2008: At the moment I'm prepping to finally run my Robotic Affect study. I have my creates, they have housings, displays, most of their behaviors, and we're ready to roll. Once I get back from HRI we shoud be ready to run.
